PERSONAL COACHING

 

Involves an interactive process between the coach and athlete and begins by setting up a season or plan for a year/season.  Planning ahead is essential to integrate all facets of your life into the programme.  In this way training is a part of your life and does not take over your life.  You can achieve your goals and keep moving forward while having the balance of both worlds.  Planning includes:

 

  • Events and racing goals
  • Training phases
  • Recovery
  • Testing
  • Other commitments

Training is then set out in 4 to 6 weekly blocks with day in – day out details based on the time you have available to train, and your goals.  This also includes:

 

  • Personalised training to the needs and goals of every individual.
  • Detailed day-to-day training based on time, cadence and intensity (intensity rating, heart rate or power output).
