Mel held off the challenge of Ironman star Gina Crawford in near perfect conditions to win the Contact National Duathlon title in Christchurch in the weekend. Burke was in impressive form as she prepares for the upcoming World Duathlon Championships in Edinburg, proving too quick for Crawford over each of the three legs of the run – bike – run event.

Last year a large number of us went away to Hahei in the Coromandal and enjoyed a fantastic three day weekend of cycling as preperation for the major cycle events late in the year. eg. K1, K2, Taupo, etc. This year we are doing it all again, same venue, same rides with a few improvements. The camp will be hosted by Kinetic Edge and Mt Eden Cycles and will suit all cycling levels. The dates set are Friday 8th October through to Sunday 10th of October. Exact details can be found here.
